Nepenthe - 2009 News & Updates

A.R.S. is Dwight Ashley, neo-expressionist composer of darkly oceanic tone poems. Hans Joachim Roedelius, prolific visionary of the electronic music avant-garde. Tim Story, grammy-nominated auteur of contemporary chamber and chill. All three musicians have made their own unique contributions to the electronic music genre. Special Guest Alex Trajano, will be providing the rhythmic fuel to the melodic and abstract musings of A.R.S.

The anticipated reissue of Offene Türen will be out this December. We at Nepenthe are looking forward to this wonderful collection of music by Hans-Joachim Roedelius.



While Hans-Joachim Roedelius is now known for his Romantic compositions, this recording shows his more experimental / avant-garde side. Some compare Offene Türen to the work he did on the Cluster (Moebius & Roedelius) album Curiosum.

In December, Nepenthe Music will be reissuing a Dieter Moebius' classic, Blotch. The refreshed package artwork was created by Next Year’s News, the design firm that has developed a number of award-winning album designs for Nepenthe Music.

Dwight Ashley and Dieter Moebius worked together on a new project with Tim Story as Producer. The two recorded at Seventh Chance Studio (Tim Story' Studio). Currently this effort is in post production. Look for this release at the end of the 1st quarter of 2010.
